I keep re-reading the phrase, 'I must remain positive if I want to return to the life I once had.' To me, those words convey the message: 'This is not who I am; this isn't permanent, and everything isn't over yet.' To respect and honour the self-growth and compassion I have shown myself and the life I've built, I must stay positive to return to it and not let it be lost in this time of difficulty.
This is just something I thought of while reading this. Thank you so much for sharing these difficult stories, not only of the stroke patients and their families, who are likely going through strenuous times themselves, but also for giving us a peek behind the curtain into the lives of the doctors tending to these patients, staying strong, and being a ray of hope for them.
I got emotional while reading your comment, and you probably know why!
"To respect and honour the self-growth and compassion I have shown myself and the life I've built, I must stay positive to return to it and not let it be lost in this time of difficulty". I absolutely love that.
Ill try to share more! I soon enter the world of Eyes... I wonder what Ill see there? (wink).
This article (and story) is not only very well written, but also very inspiring - Genuinely made me tear up. It made me think about the importance of taking care of our health for the sake of both ourselves and those we care about as well! Look forward to the next ones :)
Lovely read!
